The fifty pence challenges
So here are the facts:
Sainsbury mistakenly placed a print in one of its branches’ windows that read - “Fifty pence challenge: Let’s encourage every customer to spend an additional 50p during each shopping trip between now and the year-end.”.
Chris Dodd, a London resident was the first one reporting on it through twitter and as expected, the image was retweeted around 5000 times.
Only a few hours later Lidl hit back with its own Fifty Pence Challenge.
